What is an RCA (Reinstatement Cost Assessment)?

It is important to obtain the accurate cost to rebuild your home in the event of a total loss from events such as fire, flooding or subsidence is important.

These calculations are referred to as a Rebuild Cost Assessment or Reinstatement Cost Assessment and commonly known as RCAs.

Obtaining the correct Rebuild Cost Assessment or RCA avoids being underinsured if something happens to your home.

Calculating an accurate Rebuild Cost Assessment can be complicated, especially if your property is a non-traditional build, Grade II Listed or has recently been extended or altered.

Your Insurance will probably recommend you instruct an RICS Registered surveyor who will use their professional expertise and take into account the unique features of your home.

How Much will an RCA Cost?

If our surveyor feels that a remote assessment would not be able to provide an accurate rebuild cost assessment we would refund your fee in full and recommend a physical inspection is carried out.

Your Rebuild Cost Assessment report will be prepared and signed by an RICS Registered Chartered Surveyor.
